From there, enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to Tangkahan, passing through rugged jungle roads and breathtaking landscapes. Along the way, you’ll see the contrast between vast palm oil plantations and the untouched beauty of the surrounding jungle. Keep an eye on the majestic Gunung Leuser National Park in the distance – a true reminder of Sumatra’s natural beauty.
Upon arrival in Tangkahan, you’ll cross the Buluh River on a large wooden bridge, marking the start of your adventure into this peaceful, untouched paradise. From here, you’ll take a short trek through the village, getting closer to the charm of the Sumatra elephant in Tangkahan, to the stunning Hot Spring. Take some time to swim and enjoy the refreshing natural beauty that surrounds you.
Elephant Bathing Activity

You’ll have the chance to interact with rescued Sumatran elephants and learn more about their role in the local ecosystem.
