The trek difficully depends on the itinerary in general. Short treks (half day or full day) moderate with some steep trails. Do multi-day treks 2-5 days moderate to challenging. They include river crossing, hill climbs, and longer hike days, physical fitness is helpful, but guides can adjust the pace.
Our team will provide meals, which typically include simple local food like rice, noodles, vegetables, and fruits. Drink water is also provided in the campsite (boil-water)
The best time for trekking is during the dry season, from April to September. However, Bukit Lawang is a tropical rainforest, so brief rain can happen year-round. The wet season (October to March) brings heavier rain, which can make trails muddy and river crossings more challenging but also brings out different wildlife.
Yes. Travel insurance is highly recommended for jungle trek, covering health, accidents, and cancellations. Make sure the policy cover outdoor and adventure activities like trekking
Yes. Some shorter treks can be suitable for children, depanding on their age and stamina. For multi-day treks, older children or teens with some experience and good fitness are more likely to enjoy the experience.

Yes, Bukit Lawang and Gunung Leuser National Park are prime locations to see Orangutan in their natural habitat. However, sightings cannot be guaranteed, as the are wild animals. Most trekkers have high chance to seeing Orangutan, as well as other wildlife like Thomas Leaf Monkeys, Maccagues, and Gibbons.
